Xiao Di

Xiao Di is BYD's commercial service humanoid robot, developed by BYD's embodied intelligence team to serve as an interactive retail advisor and showroom ambassador. Standing 1.61 meters tall and weighing 58.5 kg, the robot features 31 degrees of freedom with 7-DoF high-precision dexterous hands achieving ±1 mm repeatability. Unveiled at the Di Space brand-experience center in Zhengzhou, it supports multimodal real-time two-way translation across 6 Chinese regional dialects and 6 foreign languages. Its perception suite integrates 360-degree spatial vision, facial recognition, dynamic environmental modeling, and lip/gesture tracking, leveraging BYD's in-house automotive supply chain in power electronics, battery technology, and motor drive controllers.
