Fengxing-001 is a special-purpose humanoid robot from AVIC, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, shown for the first time at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing in August 2026. It stands about 1.8 m tall and weighs about 80 kg, and AVIC says it can jog at 3 km/h, jump 30 cm, walk while carrying 20 kg and handle loads up to 15 kg. Its legs use compact motors derived from aero-engine technology, and the robot combines electric and hydraulic actuation in an electro-hydraulic hybrid drive with aviation power-by-wire joint control. AVIC designed it for aviation work: intelligent manufacturing, ground maintenance and support, and cross-domain air-ground operations. AVIC says two or three of these robots could do a missile-loading job that normally takes four to six workers, and that it has completed simulated trials of operating an aircraft on instruction. Development began in 2024.
