Ecovacs Robotics is a Suzhou company founded in 1998 by Qian Dongqi, originally as TEK Electrical Company, an OEM maker of vacuum cleaners, that reinvented itself in 2006 as an independent robotics brand. It introduced the Deebot floor-cleaning robot in 2007 and has since added window-cleaning, air-purifying and security products. It is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and is led by Vice Chairman and CEO Qian Cheng, son of the founder.
