Energize Lab
Energize Lab is a consumer robotics company best known for Eilik, a small interactive desktop companion robot with its own personality. Eilik is not built to be useful in the usual sense but to behave like a pet, with a range of activities based on four emotional states: normal, happy, angry and sad. Its Kickstarter ran from 9 November to 29 December 2021, when 4,738 backers pledged HK$6,064,614, and the robot later moved into retail. Eilik has been priced from about US$139.99, and a follow-up charm-sized product, Eiliko, also went to Kickstarter. Coverage describes Energize Lab as based in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
