Sprout

Sprout by Fauna Robotics is a compact, lightweight humanoid robot designed for safe human interaction and developer-friendly applications in research, education, and commercial development. Standing at 107 cm tall and weighing 22.7 kg, it features 29 degrees of freedom for full-body articulation, including 6 DoF arms with floor-to-countertop reach, 5 DoF compliant legs for low-impact bipedal locomotion, and a 2 DoF neck for expressive gaze. Equipped with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin compute, ZED 2i stereoscopic vision, time-of-flight sensors, IMU, microphone array, and a full-color 360-degree facial LED array with motorized eyebrows, Sprout enables out-of-the-box mapping, navigation, voice interaction, walking, kneeling, crawling, jumping, dancing, and fall recovery. Its soft deformable exterior, back-drivable motors, and dedicated safety subsystem ensure collaborative operation in shared human spaces, while swappable batteries provide 3-3.5 hours runtime and LEGO-compatible customization fosters modular innovation in manipulation, task planning, and human-robot interaction.
