Lumen S1 is a compact bipedal humanoid from HECbot (Guanggu Dongzhi), the Wuhan robotics company backed by HEC Group, and the newest member of its Photon robot family. HECbot unveiled it on February 6, 2026. It stands 1.3 m tall, weighs 35 kg and has more than 40 degrees of freedom, with joints that deliver a peak torque of 120 N·m and a top walking speed of 1.8 m/s. A 500 Wh battery with fast charging runs it for over two hours. LiDAR, RGB-D cameras, a multi-camera vision system and head touch sensors give it all-round perception for smooth walking and obstacle avoidance, while a microphone array, more than 100 built-in facial expressions and a bionic continuous-memory system let it talk and respond to a user's emotions. The site lists an NVIDIA Orin NX compute platform, optional dexterous hands and motion capture, and tools for teleoperation, motion recording and mapping.
