AgiBot G1 is a general-purpose wheeled humanoid from AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics) in Shanghai, built mainly to collect training data and run models for embodied AI. It was launched at an online event in August 2024 as part of AgiBot's new robot family. It has a head that rotates and tilts, two arms with six-axis force sensors and 26 degrees of freedom in total (20 without the end-effectors), a waist that bends and raises or lowers, and a chassis that turns in place and climbs small obstacles. Its working height reaches over 2 meters, and one arm can keep holding 3 kg while it works. The body stands between 130 and 180 cm tall, weighs 150 kg and runs for more than four hours. A Jetson AGX Orin 64GB runs its models, and three RGB-D cameras, five fisheye cameras, eight upper-body cameras and LiDAR give it all-around perception. Operators control it by VR or motion capture with millisecond-level latency, and the full joint data of each session is recorded for training. It stops with an alarm on faults, has collision protection and an emergency stop, and receives over-the-air updates. AgiBot positions it for industrial, commercial and domestic scenarios and offers it with a one-stop data platform.

Q2. What are the main capabilities and key features of AgiBot G1?

It has two force-sensing arms, an adjustable body height, a head and waist that move, a chassis that turns in place, many cameras and LiDAR, and VR teleoperation that records every joint.

Q3. Who is AgiBot G1 built for, and which industries can benefit from it?

It is built for companies and research teams that develop embodied AI and need a robot for factories, shops or homes.

Q4. Is AgiBot G1 a commercial product or still a research prototype?

It is a commercial platform that AgiBot produces at scale for data collection and model deployment.

Q5. Is AgiBot G1 currently available for purchase, and when is it expected to ship?

AgiBot sells it to business customers and quotes prices on request, and says units are available for prompt delivery.

Q6. How does AgiBot G1 actually work in real-world environments?

An operator drives it through VR or motion capture, the robot records all its joint data, and the data is uploaded and checked before it is used to train models that the robot can then run itself.

Q7. When was AgiBot G1 announced or officially launched?

AgiBot launched it at an online event in August 2024.

Q8. How is AgiBot G1 different from other robots in the same category?

It focuses on data collection and model inference, with force sensing in both arms and a native cloud pipeline, instead of being sold only as a fixed-function worker.

Q9. Does AgiBot G1 require additional development or customization after purchase?

Customers usually connect it to AgiBot's data platform and train their own models, and the supplied tools handle monitoring, alarms and updates.

Q10. What is the future roadmap or planned upgrades for AgiBot G1?

AgiBot continues to build out its platform around the G1, including newer robots in the same family.
