FlashBot Arm is a semi-humanoid service robot from Pudu Robotics in Shenzhen, developed by its Pudu X-Lab and unveiled on March 31, 2025, that puts two humanoid arms and dexterous hands on a wheeled delivery base. The arms have seven joints each and lift on the body, giving them a reach of 1600 by 2000 by 1600 mm, and each hand has 6 active and 5 passive joints in Pudu's DH11 design. That lets it press elevator buttons, swipe access cards, open doors and hand items to guests without any building modification, while a sealed dual-door compartment carries up to 15 kg of deliveries. The body measures 539 by 515 by 1440 mm, moves on an independent suspended chassis with VSLAM and LiDAR SLAM mapping and fits paths as narrow as 65 cm. It works for 8 hours without load, recharges in 4 hours and returns to its charging station by itself. RGB-D cameras, LiDAR, panoramic cameras and pressure-sensitive skin sense the surroundings, compliant force control keeps contact with people safe, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen shows facial expressions while AI voice and gestures handle conversation. Several robots coordinate their tasks and avoid each other in crowded places. Pudu aims it at hotels, restaurants, retail and healthcare.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about this robot

Q1. What is FlashBot Arm, and what problem is it designed to solve?

FlashBot Arm is a semi-humanoid service robot from Pudu Robotics. It puts two arms and hands on a wheeled delivery base so it can use elevators, open doors and hand over items on its own.

Q2. What are the main capabilities and key features of FlashBot Arm?

It has two seven-joint arms with dexterous hands, a covered delivery compartment, LiDAR and cameras for navigation, a touchscreen face, voice interaction and automatic charging.

Q3. Who is FlashBot Arm built for, and which industries can benefit from it?

It is built for hotels, restaurants, shops and care facilities that want a robot to deliver and greet without changing the building.

Q4. Is FlashBot Arm a commercial product or still a research prototype?

It is a commercial service robot that Pudu developed in its X-Lab after years of making delivery robots.

Q5. Is FlashBot Arm currently available for purchase, and when is it expected to ship?

Pudu sells its robots through its own team and partners, so availability and price depend on the region and are quoted on request.

Q6. How does FlashBot Arm actually work in real-world environments?

It maps the building, drives to the destination, presses the elevator button with its hand, rides to the floor and delivers items while sensing people around it and avoiding collisions.

Q7. When was FlashBot Arm announced or officially launched?

Pudu unveiled it at the end of March 2025.

Q8. How is FlashBot Arm different from other robots in the same category?

It adds arms and hands to a delivery robot, so it can do tasks that normally need a person, such as pressing buttons and opening doors.

Q9. Does FlashBot Arm require additional development or customization after purchase?

Because it works with existing elevators and doors, buildings do not need to be modified, and Pudu sets up the routes and tasks for each site.

Q10. What is the future roadmap or planned upgrades for FlashBot Arm?

Pudu plans to extend its abilities with more embodied-AI skills and to connect it with its fleet of other service robots.
