X-Humanoid
X-Humanoid, formally the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, is a national and municipal joint initiative launched in November 2023 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, or E-Town, to mass-manufacture humanoid robots. It was set up by Xiaomi's robotics division, UBTECH, Beijing Jingcheng Machinery and Electric, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Automation and others, with registered capital of about US$49 million, and is led by Xiong Youjun, who is also UBTECH's chief technology officer. X-Humanoid makes the Tiangong (Tien Kung) humanoid series. The first Tiangong appeared in April 2024, 163 cm and 43 kg, and Tiangong 1.2 Max followed at the World Robot Conference in August 2024. In April 2025 Tiangong Ultra won the world's first humanoid half-marathon in Beijing, and in 2026 a Tiangong Ultra was reported to complete the half-marathon in 1 hour 15 minutes. X-Humanoid also released an open-source Tiangong 3.0, and Xiong Youjun confirmed at the 2026 World Robot Conference that it plans an IPO.
