The Borg 01 is a modular humanoid robot from Detroit-based Borg Robotics, engineered for industrial and logistics tasks with a focus on adaptability and efficiency. Standing at 173 cm tall and weighing 62 kg, it autonomously switches between bipedal walking for narrow spaces and a wheeled base for faster, more efficient movement across factory floors and warehouses. Key features include quick-change end effectors like vacuum grippers, mechanical claws, dual grippers, and five-fingered hands, supporting payloads up to 12 kg for versatile manipulation. Powered by advanced AI neural networks, it adapts to new tasks and environments without infrastructure changes, integrating into existing workflows. With 23 degrees of freedom, in-house high-torque actuators, and up to 12 hours runtime in wheeled mode via swappable batteries, Borg 01 targets manufacturing labor shortages, offering seamless operation in crowded aisles alongside Borg's ecosystem of autonomous pallet jacks and forklifts.
