Aria is built around conversation. Realbotix debuted her at CES in January 2025 as a companion humanoid with a highly expressive face, driven by 17 facial motors and with cameras inside the eyes. A chest wide-angle camera and microphones help her follow a conversation. Her body adds up to 44 degrees of freedom, and a wheeled base carries her 54 kg frame at walking pace, about 2 km/h. A 1.5 kWh battery lasts four to eight hours, and her face and voice can be swapped to suit the owner.

DroidUp's Moya is aimed at elder care, education and customer service, and its voice is meant to feel calm and clear. It stands 1.65 m tall, weighs 32 kg and shows micro-expressions such as smiling and winking while it speaks. Its skin is kept at 32 to 36 degrees Celsius, so the whole presence is warm, not mechanical. DroidUp unveiled it in Shanghai on February 4, 2026. The company has not published detailed speech specifications, so the voice side is better judged in person than from a spec sheet.

1X designed NEO so that you can speak to it like a household member. Spoken requests become actions, such as fetching an item or tidying a room, and 1X says it learns from corrections. A quiet body matters for voice use: its tendon-driven joints make little noise, so the robot does not drown out the conversation or mishear people over its own motors. Pre-orders opened in October 2025 with deliveries planned for 2026, and for tasks it cannot do alone, a remote operator may step in.

Figure 03 turns spoken instructions into physical work through Figure's Helix vision-language-action system. You tell it to load the dishwasher or fold the laundry, and Helix links the words to the camera view and hand movements. Figure introduced the robot on October 9, 2025 with an upgraded microphone and speaker setup for clear voice interaction. Speech is only one input here, since the robot is designed mainly to act on what it hears, and fingertip sensors and palm cameras let it carry out the request.

Ai-Da is a robot artist whose voice has reached a parliament. Engineered Arts built the body for Aidan Meller's art project, and cameras in her eyes let her look at a subject before she draws or paints it. She speaks at exhibitions and in public forums, including the House of Lords, answering questions about creativity and AI ethics. In October 2024, Sotheby's put her portrait of Alan Turing, titled A.I. God, up for auction, the first artwork by a humanoid robot sold there. She is stationary, so the voice is the main way she meets an audience.
