The Third Quarter of 2026

The third quarter turned launches toward speed, tactile skin and open platforms. Apptronik unveiled Apollo 2 in July, Generative Bionics and AgiBot showed new robots at the July events, Unitree's Superman set a new speed mark in August, Galbot opened ET1 pre-orders on September 3, Agility unveiled Digit 5 on September 15 and RoboParty's RP1 debuted on September 28. Each robot here has a dated unveiling between July 1 and September 30, 2026.

What Changed Since Q2

Compared with the service and showcase robots of the second quarter, Q3 brought industrial platforms with named customers and delivery dates, such as Digit 5 and Apollo 2, alongside research machines like Superman and RP1. Several launches are still prototypes or pre-orders, and some specifications, including Galbot ET1's, are not yet confirmed. Earlier launches appear in our Q1 and Q2 lists, and dates and figures come from each maker's announcement.

Quick Overview

These seven humanoids each had a dated unveiling in July, August or September 2026.

Apollo 2
🏭
Industry: Specific industries and applications (goods-to-person, packout, automotive kitting, quality inspection, machine tending)
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: $80,000/year
Apptronik

Apollo 2

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

Apptronik unveiled Apollo 2 in July 2026 in bipedal and wheeled configurations, a 172 cm, 73 kg humanoid with 42 degrees of freedom and arms that each carry 25 kg. It has a swappable battery architecture and runs about four hours per charge, and Apptronik lists it at $80,000 a year. The launch came with the opening of Robot Park, a nearly 90,000 square foot Austin facility whose data feeds Google DeepMind's Gemini Robotics models, giving the robot a direct route to AI training.

GENE.01
🏭
Industry: Industrial assembly, patient assistance, warehouse handling, hazardous inspection
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: Prototype (Expected price $50000)
Generative Bionics

GENE.01

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

Generative Bionics first announced GENE.01 at CES in January 2026 and unveiled the working robot on July 20, saying it was built in six months. Its distinguishing feature is smart skin: full-body tactile sensing with force and proximity sensors for safe physical collaboration with people. It runs on AMD processors and uses physical AI derived from the Italian Institute of Technology's iCub and ergoCub projects. The robot was shown in the United States at AMD Advancing AI on July 22 and 23.

AgiBot A3
🏭
Industry: Precision electronics assembly, logistics carton handling, factory tool manipulation, robotics education & research, interactive exhibition hosting
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: $32,000 - $45,000 (Commercial Industrial / Developer Tier)
AgiBot

AgiBot A3

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

AgiBot unveiled the A3 Ultra at WAIC 2026 on July 20: a 1.74 m, 51-degree-of-freedom full-size humanoid with NVIDIA Thor computing for commercial and service work. The A3 line is a 55 kg biped with 31 active degrees of freedom at its core, carries 5 kg per arm, walks at 1.5 m/s with a peak of 3.5 m/s and lists at $32,000 to $45,000. AgiBot marked its 5,000th robot on December 8, 2025, so the launch comes from a manufacturer already producing at volume.

Superman
🏭
Industry: Dynamic locomotion research, humanoid benchmarking, inspection, demonstration, athletic robotics, advanced control development
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: Not officially disclosed; likely in the USD $15,000–$40,000 range
Unitree Robotics

Superman

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

Unitree unveiled Superman on August 17, 2026, a locomotion-focused humanoid built in about three months. It sprints at 12.66 m/s, or 45.6 km/h, and jumps about 2 m straight up from standing, helped by a reported 0.85 m leg length. The 47 kg robot has 27 degrees of freedom and is a research platform for motion control rather than a worker, and Unitree has not disclosed a price. It arrived the same month Unitree began trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Galbot ET 1
🏭
Industry: High-speed factory automation, zero-shot visual imitation tasks, athletic locomotion research, dynamic material kitting, interactive exhibition
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: $95,000 (Commercial Prototype / Developer Edition on request)
Galbot Robotics

Galbot ET 1

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

Galbot debuted the ET1 at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing in August, where it mirrored another robot's movements and dialogue live, and opened pre-orders on September 3. It is the company's first bipedal humanoid after its wheeled dual-arm robots, which began with the G1 in June 2024. Published figures for its height and weight differ between sources, so treat specifications as unconfirmed until Galbot releases a full sheet. Galbot raised 2.5 billion yuan in March 2026, making it China's highest-valued unlisted humanoid maker.

Digit 5
🏭
Industry: Tote handling, palletizing and depalletizing, machine tending, warehouse transport, repetitive material movement
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: Enterprise pricing, typically custom-quoted; likely >$100,000 per unit | (Inferred · Medium confidence · Typical range for commercial humanoid robots in this class)
Agility Robotics

Digit 5

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

Agility unveiled Digit 5 on September 15, 2026: a 1.81 m, 129 kg humanoid that lifts 50 lb, recharges in nine minutes and uses AI human detection so it can work beside people without safety barriers. Agility reported more than $300 million in multi-year customer orders in May 2026. Early access is expected to open in North America in the first half of 2027, with general availability targeted for the end of 2027, so this is a launch with deliveries still ahead.

RP1
🏭
Industry: Embodied-AI research and model training, reinforcement-learning locomotion research, robot data collection, university and lab teaching, hardware and actuator development, and public demonstrations
📅
Timeline: Announced/launched 2026
💰
Price range: Approx. $12,000 – $25,000 | (Inferred · Medium confidence · Not yet published. Compared with the Unitree G1 (a similar 1.3 m research humanoid, from $16,000) and RoboParty's own ROBOTO Origin, whose open-source DIY kit costs about $7,000 in parts; RP1 is a factory-built platform with more DOF and RoboParty's Romomo actuators)
RoboParty

RP1

humanoidHumanoid RobotSince 2026

RoboParty's RP1 debuted at IROS 2026 in Pittsburgh on September 28, recovering from pushes, kicks and falls in a live Kick Me demo. The Shanghai team builds it on ROBOTO Origin, an open-source humanoid project that passed 2,500 GitHub stars in January 2026. The full-size biped weighs about 39 kg, runs up to 4 m/s, climbs 30° slopes and 50 mm steps and lasts about three hours on a hot-swappable dual battery, which makes it a developer-friendly platform rather than a finished product.
