ARCHAX
ARCHAX is a piloted, giant mecha-style robot designed for heavy-duty tasks in hazardous environments, such as disaster search and rescue, nuclear decommissioning, large-scale demolition, and ground testing for lunar base construction. It features a switchable dual-mode system: Robot Mode for upright manipulation with 26 joints enabling arm and hand movements for grasping and handling debris or materials, and Vehicle Mode for wheeled mobility at up to 10 km/h. The operator pilots from an onboard cockpit using joysticks, pedals, and a touchscreen with feeds from 9 cameras displayed on 4 screens, providing immersive control with a sense of unity. Constructed with iron, aluminum, and FRP exterior, it emphasizes mechanical perfection, aesthetic design, and safety compliance for replacing humans in risky industrial or disaster scenarios, blurring sci-fi with practical machinery.
