Unitree Go1
by Unitree Robotics
Released: 2021
The Unitree Go1 is a high-performance quadruped robot dog designed for versatile applications including research, education, inspection, entertainment, and companionship. It features advanced capabilities such as a maximum speed of 3.7 m/s (with records up to 4.7 m/s), intelligent side-following system using patented wireless vector positioning for safe human-robot interaction, super sensory system with RGBD cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and optional LiDAR for obstacle avoidance and navigation. Powered by a built-in AI module with 16-core CPU and 384-core GPU delivering 1.5 TFLOPS, it supports autonomous behaviors like following, jumping, stair climbing, and dynamic obstacle avoidance. The lightweight 12 kg body with 12 degrees of freedom (3 DOF per leg) uses high-torque, low-noise servo motors with heat pipe cooling, enabling robust performance on various terrains including slopes up to 35 degrees. Target markets include academia for R&D, industrial inspection, security patrolling, and consumer entertainment, with EDU and Pro versions offering extensive interfaces like Jetson Nano compute, 4G/5G, ROS support, and secondary development SDK.
