ANYmal X is the world's first Ex-proof legged inspection robot, certified for safe operation in hazardous and potentially explosive environments up to Zone 1, including ATEX/IECEx certification. Designed by ANYbotics for industrial applications like oil & gas and chemical industries, it automates routine inspections to enhance safety and operational efficiency by reducing human exposure to dangerous areas. Key capabilities include exceptional mobility with AI-based navigation for climbing steep stairs, traversing narrow spaces (600mm), slippery, rocky, wet surfaces, and slopes up to ±30°. It features super-human senses with 360° LiDAR for mapping and obstacle avoidance up to 100m, depth cameras for near-field detection within 2m, pan-tilt inspection payload with 20x zoom camera, thermal camera (-10° to +400°C), spotlight, microphone, and optional gas sensors for detecting combustible and toxic gases. The rugged, impact-protected design is IP67 dust- and waterproof, supports autonomous operation with docking stations for recharging, and includes safety features like emergency stop, FCC/CE compliance, and safety handles. ANYmal X self-navigates facilities, remembers tasks, and performs precise inspections in complex, dynamic terrains, enabling fully autonomous missions in all weather conditions.
